How to Embellish Shoes

There are statement necklaces and then there are shoes that make a statement.

It all started with these fancy flower feathers, two strands of Chain Reaction, and some pretty black patent heels.  The feather embellishment pieces are easy to make:  Cut your chains accordingly, hot glue them to the back of the feather, and glue a black piece of felt over the back to hide the glue.  Then you can glue them or clip them to your shoe.  Wear them on the back, on the side, YOU are the designer.  Prom.  A night out.  Do your thing!

Make a Sparkle Ribbon Necklace

Here we are mid-way through February!  I can't believe it!  The JJB crew just returned from Tucson's, To Bead True Blue show and we had a blast!  We sold bead strands, beaded chains, clasps as well as individual beads like the sparkly pave-style beads you can see here.  They have large holes so they are perfect for ribbon and leather.   We also ate a ton of tamales (which I'm really missing right now).
I'm signing off to whip up a batch of soup and unpack my suitcases (which have a large amount of beading supplies in them...oh darn. Wink).

Wishing you a warm and cozy day doing whatever you like...

String your beads onto wire and secure them to the jump ring going through the leather with a crimp bead.
Add a Grand Finale clasp to the end with jump rings.  Rock and roll!

How to Make a Beaded Key Chain

Hello beautiful people!
Candie here with a 5 minute key chain adornment using Jesse James Beaded Beads.  I love these big sparkly beads!  They come in tons of colors and are so very fab.
Start with an Uptown Style bracelet with loops on the end and remove the clasp.  String the beaded bead onto the bracelet finding and connect the loops on the end of the bracelet to a latch finding with a heavy duty jump ring (18 g. 6mm diameter works).  You can stop here if you like the minimalist effect OR....
You can go to town adding tassels, big rings, charms and more with jump rings.  Perhaps some ribbons? Or knotted hemp? Or bits of lace?  Let your personality shine!

Make Easy Sparkle Earrings with Style Linkx

Jesse James Beads Style Linx.  Ok people, I LOVE these things!  It's Candie again with some crazy sparkle love this evening.  This is a pair of earrings I made that are on their way to California for the JJB booth at the big Craft and Hobby Association show.  In all honesty, I didn't want to send them because I wanted them to move into my jewelry box.  Permanently.  I know, I know, I can make a pair for myself. And I will (times 5)!
Style Linx come in a ton of colors and styles.  The crystals are really bright too!  I used Beadalon oval Quick Links to frame up the Linx with cubic zirconia purple drops, connecting it all together with 5 mm jump rings.  Here's a link to show you how to open and close a jump ring if you haven't done it before.
These earrings go together really easy. Like five minutes easy so you can crank out the awesome in a really short amount of time.  Be prepared--you're going to want to make some for everybody you know (and then not want to give them away).

Smiling--

Candie
