Jesse James Beads at the Primetime Emmys!

Hellloooo Hollywood! Jesse James Beads has officially arrived!

A few weeks ago Karen James, our co-owner, asked me if I'd like to travel to Los Angeles to do make-n-take jewelry projects with celebrities attending the Emmy Awards. My answer was...um, YES! Please and thank you, Jesse James Beads! Here we go, off and away to yet another amazing place on another super fabulous Bead Adventure, woo!!

The DIY gifting suite event, officially coined the 'CHA Connected Gift Lounge' was held last Saturday, September 21, at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles. A week has passed since the event but I am STILL buzzing from it. My boyfriend/bead partner-in-crime set up a beautiful booth and taught some of our favorite celebrities how to make bracelets and earrings using Jesse James Beads. All the the celebrities were enamored with our beads and booth; we were told on several occasions that our booth and products were the nicest of the entire event. Kudos to JJB!

Scroll onwards for a photo tour of our fantastic experience at the Crafting The Emmys DIY Gifting Suite. We had so much fun!

Setting it all up! Your resident Bead Babe hanging our signature pink and black tulle.

All done! The amazing Chris making earrings, awaiting celebrities ;)

And now, we bedazzle the stars...

Penny Marshall

Penny Marshall of Laverne and Shirley fame loved our beads! She had me make her a bracelet using Atlantis Strand #1 and Design Elements mix 'A Formal Affair'.

Leslie David Baker (Stanley from the Office)

Oh it just happens to be Stanley, the manley, from THE OFFICE! Leslie David Baker is so dang cool and super nice! He picked out Natural Beauty Strand #2 and Design Elements mix in 'Aristocratic'. He was also oohing and ahhing over our black and silver beads, so we threw in a few of those too ;)

Emmy Award Winner, Tony Hale

EMMY AWARD WINNER for Outstanding Supporting Actor, TONY HALE! When funny-man Tony Hale popped by our booth I got the biggest smile on my lil face. Tony is famous for his roles in 'Arrested Development' and presently 'Veep.' Our conversation started as follows:

Me: I know you! You're Tony Hale, you're funny
Tony Hale: (smiles) Why thank you.
Me: Want to trade some beads for some jokes?
Tony Hale: (laughs) I'm unfortunately fresh out!
...we gave him some beads anyway (and did not believe for a second that he didn't have just a few knee-slappers hidden under his sleeve! It's ok Tony, we see how it is ;-)

We helped Tony make a fun bracelet for his wife. He said she loves sparkly blingy jewelry and was going to love our beads. Alright!

Tony Hale's Emmy Awards acceptance speech. Go Big T!

 Dennis Haskins (Mr. Belding)

"Hey, hey, hey, hey WHAT is going on here?" Ah Mr. Belding, Saved by the Bell, my sitcom childhood in a nutshell confronting me here in LA! This guy was simply hilarious, and my boyfriend's favorite celeb of the day by far lol! Dennis was super friendly and enamored with the beads. He couldn't get over how cool our magnetic clasps were!

Blake Garrett Rosenthal (weird little boy from Bridesmaids)

Remember this little bugger from the movie, "Bridesmaids"? 'I ate Saturday,' lol, hilarious!!

This little budding child star was so freaking adorable. Blake, who is known for roles in 'Bridesmaids' (remember the creepy and very funny little kid?) and the new sitcom 'Mom', came to our booth with his own mom to make a bracelet for his school teacher. How adorable! He picked out all kinds of beautiful single beads and strung them up himself - Yes! A celeb that wants to 'make' AND take lol ;-) Go Blake!!

The Goods!

The beads and bead-babes running the show at the CHA Connected Gifting Suite. Crafting The Emmys, holla!
Tier #1 of beads - A few said they look good enough to eat!

Tier #2 of beads - Organic fall colors, love love love

Taking a moment to gaze at the crowd..

My bead babe, best friend and boyfriend, all rolled into one. This guy is the best! Thanks so much, Chris! Couldn't have done it without ya :)

Ahh...what a weekend! Beads, beaches, bracelets, celebrities...and to top it all off we randomly got to see SIR PAUL McCARTNEY play a free show on Hollywood Blvd Monday evening for the Jimmy Kimmel Show. How unreal!

Thank you all for your continued love and support of our beads. We could never do what we do without you! Thank you for exercising your creativity, we are SO glad to be a part of your inspiration and artistry!! Cheers to you!
